Pilot House, Key Largo.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2012, I ate dinner at the Pilot House located at 13 Seagate Boulevard, Key Largo, Florida 33037. The service was great and friendly, our waitress was Michelle. The restaurant was on the water and had a glass bottom bar, which wasn't very good. It had too much glare, and was too high above the water. I think it would be better at night when it is lit up. We sat outside, right on the water. For an appetizer, we had conch fritters, $10.95. There were only four of them. They were a little bit soft on the outside, but still tasted good. I ordered the blackened mahi basket with fries and a water to drink, $10.95. The fish was very delicious and flavorful. The fries were crunchy. We had a coupon for one slice of free key lime pie. It had an OK creamy flavor, but didn't taste much like key lime pie. But, I can't complain too much about free pie. If you want good and tangy key lime pie, check out my key lime pie recipe! After we were done eating we got to feed the fish (and the birds) right from our table and that was pretty neat. I give the Pilot House 5 sporks up!
My fish.

Not so key lime pie!
